Introducing the Ferrari Portofino
The new Ferrari Portofino M is the upgraded replacement for the original Portofino which in turn replaced the Ferrari California T and once again Ferrari have raised their game for this latest model.
It has a 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbo engine located under the front bonnet generating 612bhp and will get you from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and 124mph in 9.8 seconds, thanks in no small part to the 8 speed dual clutch auto gearbox with its lightning quick gear changes which have been tweaked over the years thanks to the Formula 1 advancements. The top speed is claimed as “over 199mph” so it truly is in a rare group of 200mph convertible Supercars. . . . And the carbon ceramic brakes will stop the 20 inch 5 spoked wheels pretty sharpish too!
The official fuel consumption of 28mpg is pretty good too considering what this car is capable of.
This is a top spec Ferrari Portofino M (over £230k to buy) and has everything you’d expect in a very latest generation convertible Supercar from Ferrari.
Long gone now are the soft top convertible roofs and this Ferrari has the latest generation folding metal roof giving you the best of both worlds for hard top or open air driving at the flick of a switch depending on your preference – and the weather obviously!
The comfy leather seats are suitably stylish with stitched logos etc and are fully adjustable. This car is probably classed as a 2+2 seater Grand Tourer but don’t expect adults to fit in the 2 small rear seats. They’re really only suitable for smaller children. The boot has 292 litres of boot space with the roof up but this is reduced a bit when the roof is down – the folded down roof has to go somewhere after all!
NB – the M stands for Modificata
