Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder Hire – We’ve been asked – Is the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder not just a more expensive version of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder?
And the answer is – Well yes . . . . sort of, but there’s a bit more to it than that.
It’s certainly more expensive – on sale at around £240,000 it doesn’t jump out as being a bargain, but then again, that’s why we do what we do and you can hire it from Northern Supercar Hire for a fraction of the purchase cost.
So apart from the price difference with the “normal” Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, what else is different?
It’s a bit lighter with more light stuff (or carbon fibre and Forged Composites as Lamborghini calls it) and although it’s still 125kg heavier than the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Coupe because of the strengthening required in the convertible version, it’s managed to shed 35kg from the original model.
It’s a bit more powerful thanks to the titanium valves in the Performante version and it really does feel more raw . . . more racy . . . and yes, more noisy . . .!
The grip is phenomenal too but I suppose you’d expect that anyway from an all-wheel drive Lamborghini.
It’s got new rear exhausts – 2 huge drainpipes coming out of the rear grill so you’ll know if it’s a Performante that’s just overtaken you on the M6.
The Italian flag colours running along the bottom of the door are another indication that you’re looking at the Performante model and if you’re still in any doubt, the rear wing – which could have been borrowed from a small glider – will indeed confirm that this car does look different from the non Performante version of the Huracan Spyder.
If you’re looking for a downside then I suppose the seats aren’t as comfy but hey – they look good and you can always get out after 100 miles or so for a stretch.
So there you have it – we reckon the Lamborghini Performante Spyder is a bit better than the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder but I suppose the various little slices of “a bit better” add up to a “quite a bit better” rating.
